Privacy Policy
Note: Replace the placeholders (controller, hosting provider, supervisory authority) before launch. The binding version under German law is the German privacy policy.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Nick Pohl — True Valley Strings
[Street and number]
[Postal code] [City], Germany
E-mail: hello@truevalleystrings.com
2. Overview
This website is deliberately minimal. It uses no cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools, no advertising networks and no third-party web fonts (fonts are served from our own server). There is no contact form; you reach us through your own e-mail program or via Instagram.
3. Hosting and server log files
Our website is hosted by a service provider:
[Name and address of the hosting provider]
When you visit the site, the host automatically records information in so-called server log files that your browser transmits. These are typically:
- the page or file requested,
- date and time of access,
- amount of data transferred,
- notification of successful retrieval,
- browser type and version,
- operating system,
- referrer URL,
- the IP address (shortened/anonymised where technically possible).
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of our website. Log files are stored for a limited time for security reasons and then deleted.
A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
4. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
5. Contacting us by e-mail
If you contact us by e-mail, the details you provide (name, e-mail address, content of your message) are stored in order to process your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual communication) or (f) GDPR (handling your enquiry). We do not pass this data on without your consent and delete it once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention periods apply.
6. External links (Instagram)
This website links to our Instagram profile. Only when you actively click such a link are you forwarded to Instagram and data transmitted to its operator (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). We have no influence over this processing; Instagram’s privacy terms apply. No Instagram content is embedded directly in this site.
7. Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise these rights, contact the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority:
[Competent supervisory authority — e.g. Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA)]
8. Changes
We will update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or the legal situation require it. The current version published here always applies.
